Orchard Ovens has proudly supported this year’s CarFest charity auction, donating a Fornino 75 wood-fired pizza oven from Valoriani, truly worthy of a high bid!
During November, radio host, Chris Evans, provided details of the high-profile charity auction event, on his Virgin Radio with Sky breakfast show, boosting its profile tremendously.
Each year, the auction raises funds for children’s charities including, BBC Children in Need, Rainbow Trust and the Teenage Cancer Trust, with once-in-a-lifetime experiences and high-value, must-have items up for grabs.
In 2022, the auction lots included lunch with Guy Ritchie and Jimmy Carr, VIP tickets to see Bruce Springsteen at Hyde Park, lunch with Dame Mary Berry and Dame Prue Leith hosted by Candice Brown and with food cooked by Jose Pizarro. There was also a guaranteed place in next year’s London Marathon.
We, as a family, were thrilled when one of our London customers, Homeslice, asked us to partner with them by donating a prize package that would augment their own prize offering and really boost the bid for the entire lot.
Consequently, the winner of the exclusive prize is in for a real treat, taking home their very own Valoriani wood-fired Fornino 75 oven – the very best Tuscan-built pizza oven that money can buy – as well as a pizza masterclass for 10 people.
The latter will be hosted at Homeslice in London. Courtesy of owner, Mark Wogan, our bidder and their friends will enjoy a money-can’t-buy night, in the restaurant’s fabulous Pizza Kitchen, where special guest chef, Theo Randall, will be serving up the delights. Added to this, TV presenter, Louise Minchin, will host what is sure to be an amazing night of pizzas and cocktails. The successful bidder will also take home a year’s supply of Moth Cocktail’s ‘Aperitivo Spritz’, to help christen their oven.
This is by no means the first time that Orchard Ovens has worked with celebrities, having built a reputation as the go-to brand for artisan built, wood-fired pizza ovens that tick an A-lister’s box. For instance, Guy Ritchie became an Orchard Ovens customer after we installed a purpose-built oven at the home he shared, at the time, with his ex-wife, Madonna.
